Prior to starting
a job, the project manager will go through the drawings
and begin compiling a list of questions so that we can get
answers as quickly as possible and minimize the interruptions
in the flow of the project. This may include meeting with
the architect, engineer and the fabricators project
A full set of
Erection Plans is created using AutoCad and sent to the
Engineer for answers to any questions that may not have
been answered on the structural or architectural drawings.
creates a 3D model using a program called Tekla Structures.
All of the steel is connected in this model and all reports,
drawings and CNC files are created from the model.
Once all of
the steel is in the model, an Advance Bill of Material is
sent to the Fabricator. All other reports, such as Transmittals,
Field Bolt Lists, Shop Bolt Lists, Fabtrol reports, etc.
are created as the job progresses.
